Making Tamil lessons feel like play

The UX and animation decisions behind Arignar's streaks, sounds and micro-rewards.

Language learning succeeds when practice becomes a habit. For Arignar, that means the lesson loop has to feel light, rewarding and clear even for short sessions.

Bite-sized progress

We keep each interaction small: recognize a letter, match a sound, finish a short challenge. The learner should always know what just happened and what to do next.

Rewards with restraint

Streaks, sounds and motion are useful when they reinforce learning. They become noise when they interrupt it. Our animation rule is simple: celebrate completion, clarify state, never delay the next action.

Tamil-first design

Tamil script is not a decorative asset. It drives spacing, sizing, audio timing and input behavior. The UI has to respect the language instead of forcing it into generic English-first patterns.
